Conference presented by Laurent Le Crabe

A set photographer who has worked with directors such as Olivier Marchal, Ladj Ly, Julia Ducournau and Alice Diop, Laurent Le Crabe's credits include posters for Saint Omer, Vingt Dieux, Goutte d'Or, Bâtiment 5 and Pax Massilia

During his 1-hour talk, Laurent Le Crabe will take you behind the scenes of the film industry, through a profession that is often overlooked by photography enthusiasts.

Presentation of the speaker

After commercial and financial studies and a first life in the banking sector, Laurent Le Crabe's career path was the subject of an assertive and fulfilling reconversion to photography.

Based in Marseille since 2017 and originally from the Paris suburbs, he started out as a freelancer in 2013.

As a Leica Camera France ambassador photographer and digital consultant, and a street photographer in general, his raw, direct and urban style is appreciated in the fields of reportage, portraiture and film.

Laurent Le Crabe is Southern correspondent for Le Parisien and the Amaury Sport group (L'Équipe magazine, France Football, Vélo magazine...).
A film enthusiast and set photographer, he signed the posters for Alice Diop's Saint Omer (2 Lions at the Venice Film Festival and César 2023 for best first film), Clément Cogitore's Goutte d'Or and Ladj Ly's Bâtiment 5. In the film world, he has worked with the following directors: Julia Ducournau on Titane, Olivier Marchal on Pax Massilia and Bastion 36 for Netflix, Louise Courvoisier on Vingt Dieux (Prix Jean Vigo 2024) and Agathe Riedinger on Diamant Brut.
