Due to the success of the exhibition Regards d’un collectionneur, Caumont will exceptionally extend its opening hours and will close at 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays 14, 21 and 28 February, as well as on 7, 14 and 21 March.
Host a children’s birthday party!
An original way of hosting a children’s birthday party with friends. Caumont - Art Centre will welcome your children on this special occasion.
In the form of a journey of discovery in the eighteenth century complemented by stories and games, the children will discover the mansion, the historic rooms, and the gardens, as they were in the time of Pauline de Caumont.
Two game itineraries, suitable for children aged 4–6 and 7–12, have been created in order to inspire the children and enable them to adopt an entertaining approach to a historical building dating from the Age of Enlightenment. After an hour-long visit, the ‘marquise’s tea party’ will be served in the Café Caumont. Lastly, a treasure hunt will be held in the French gardens (in the event of rain, the children will be offered a plastic arts activity or the chance to listen to some storytelling).
Afternoon programme (on Wednesdays and every day during school holidays)
2:45 p.m.: reception of the children in the Cour des Communs
3 p.m.: beginning of the games itinerary, supervised by a female member of staff
4 p.m.: tea party at the Café Caumont
4:30 p.m.: treasure hunt in the gardens
5 p.m.: end of the birthday party
Duration of the activity : 2 hours 30 minutes
Days : Wednesdays and every day during school holidays
Time : departure at 2:45 p.m.
Conditions : maximum of 10 children per group (all from the same age group)
